Jason Hooper
Jason Hooper, President of KVC Hospitals, Inc., plans, develops and monitors programs and services for Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Care services at KVC, including acute psychiatric services and psychiatric residential treatment services.
Mr. Hooper joined KVC in 1995 as a mental health technician in the pre-adolescent intensive treatment unit. He held positions subsequently as a therapeutic case manager and resource coordinator/community liaison. These opportunities allowed him to expand his programmatic experience while helping children through some of the most traumatic experiences and challenging mental illnesses imaginable. In 1999, he was promoted to assistant director in the intensive treatment program at the KVC Psychiatric Facility. As another KVC leader that has grown up professionally through the organization, Mr. Hooper embodies the values on which KVC prides itself.
Mr. Hooper monitors and evaluates program performance regarding clinical effectiveness, fiscal accountability, outcomes management and growth. He has been integral in KVC’s recent expansion into new states and led the effort to open the Wheatland Psychiatric Hospital in Hays, Kansas in spring 2010. His focus on a team oriented approach to treatment and a coaching oriented approach to staffing sets apart KVC’s residential services as both innovative and successful.
Mr. Hooper holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from Baker University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas.
