How Foster Families Make a Difference

Children grow best in strong, healthy families. When a home environment becomes unstable, however, it is often necessary for a child to enter a foster home.

Caring for someone else’s child can be one of the most altruistic and gratifying experiences a person can have. A foster home provides a much-needed balance of care and structure for the child. Families also give a child the opportunity to stay in their community and neighborhood school.  Many times, foster parents will even become great mentors and role models to birth parents.
