Psychiatric Hospital Overview
KVC currently operates two psychiatric hospitals providing specialized psychiatric and behavioral healthcare to children and adolescents. KVC Prairie Ridge Psychiatric Hospital, located in Kansas City, Kansas, provides psychiatric inpatient care for children ages 6-18 who have a diagnosed mental illness (DSM IV diagnosis). The KVC Wheatland Psychiatric Hospital in Hays, Kansas, opened its doors in 2010 and accommodates children and adolescents from central and western Kansas.
