Foster Family Events in Kansas
We know that foster families can learn a lot by becoming connected with other foster families. We understand that you share similar values, experiences and challenges. Therefore, we make it a point to create opportunities for you and your children to get to know other foster families, share stories and form bonds.
Each year, the annual Resource Family Conference provides an opportunty to meet new acquaintances and reconnect with families from the past.
Each May, local KVC staff members host picnics, parties and celebrations in honor of National Foster Care Month. This year, KVC will also be participating in its first-ever Walk Me Home 5k to raise awareness about the need for foster families.
The annual Just Between Friends sale is a chance to select free gently worn children’s clothing. More information on this event is made available to KVC foster families.
