How do I access care through my child’s school?
We suggest you speak with school personnel and/or your private health insurance provider if you believe you or your child would benefit from KVC services. After discussing your concerns, you can work together to decide the appropriate steps to take.
If my child does not attend school in one of the current school districts where KVC services are offered, can we still receive these services in some way?
Yes you can, provided that outpatient level of service is required. Contact your local insurance provider or our KVC Missouri offices directly to learn how we can serve your family.
How will KVC determine if my child needs mental health counseling or psychiatric treatment?
If you suspect your child may require mental heath treatment, please set up an appointment with one of KVC’s trained professionals. Our staff will analyze the needs of your child and inform you of your care options. They will guide you through the individual steps of how to help your child and may recommend KVC’s outpatient or inpatient therapy if necessary.
