National Adoption Day
Dozens of KVC children were adopted on National Adoption Day 2009. They joined their Forever Families in ceremonies at courthouses in Johnson and Wyandotte counties on Saturday, Nov. 21. Many families choose this specific day to finalize adoptions to bring special attention to the need for more adoptive homes across the country. Currently 800 children await adoption in Kansas.
You may experience the joyous day by viewing our 2009 photo album. Since July 2005, KVC has helped facilitate more than 1,300 adoptions. If families are interested, KVC will coordinate National Adoption Day celebrations in courthouses again on Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010.
