Juvenile Justice Services
Some of the children in KVC care have been involved in the juvenile justice system. It is imperative for these children to receive care and support, in the least restrictive and most appropriate environment, to minimize their stay in the system.
We serve these youth in family or alternative community settings, and we work with detention and community-based programs to coordinate services that ensure both child and community safety. We hold juveniles accountable for their behaviors and establish treatment and service plans in a manner consistent with their individual, long-term needs. KVC’s family-focused programs also provide intensive aftercare services to ensure quality care for youth long after families receive KVC’s initial support.
