Trauma Systems Therapy Training
This one-day training provides an introduction to Trauma Systems Therapy, an evidence-based treatment model for working with traumatized children and adolescents. The course will provide information on the theoretical foundations of Trauma Systems Therapy as well as detailed training in assessment, treatment planning, clinical intervention skills, and team-building.
Participants will learn the scientific and conceptual basis for orienting treatment around emotional dysregulation and social environmental instability, and will be able to assess these two dimensions in case illustrations. They will gain the skills necessary to complete as TST Treatment Plan, and will learn the TST approach to treatment engagement. Finally, teams will gain hands-on experience with conducting moment-by-moment assessments, using the Emotion Regulation Guide, and conferencing in TST teams.
