Request for Proposal for Two Storage Appliances with Minimum 60TB Available Capacity Each and 3 Years of Technical Support

KVC Health Systems invites qualified vendors to submit proposals for the provision of two (2) enterprise server storage appliances. Each appliance must have a minimum available capacity of 60TB (native capacity not with dedupe) and include comprehensive technical support for a period of three (3) years. The storage solutions will be critical in supporting our data storage needs, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.

Proposal Submission Guidelines

Submission Deadline: Proposals must be submitted no later than 9/1/2024. Late submissions will not be considered.

Scope of Work

Storage Appliances Specifications:

  • Minimum Available Capacity: 60TB per appliance.
  • Redundant power supplies and hot-swappable components.
  • Support for advanced data protection features, such as RAID configurations, Immutability settings, and indelibility.
  • Compatibility with existing network and data infrastructure.
  • High availability and fault tolerance capabilities.
  • Energy efficiency standards compliance.

Technical Support:

3 years of comprehensive technical support, including:

  • 24/7 phone and email support.
  • On-site support if required within 6 hours for hardware failure
  • Regular firmware and software updates.
  • Preventative maintenance services.

Warranty: Provide detailed warranty information covering parts and labor for the entire 3-year support period.

Proposal Requirements

Vendor Qualifications:

  • A brief history of the company and experience in providing similar storage solutions.
  • Case studies or references from at least three (3) organizations where similar systems have been successfully implemented.

Technical Proposal:

  • Detailed specifications of the proposed storage appliances.
  • Description of the technical support services included.
  • Implementation plan, including timeline, installation procedures, and training for staff.

Cost Proposal:

  • Itemized cost breakdown, including hardware, software, support, and any other associated costs.
  • Clear terms of payment and any available discounts or financing options.

Evaluation Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Compliance with technical requirements.
  • Vendor experience and qualifications.
  • Cost-effectiveness.
  • Support and warranty terms.
  • Implementation timeline and methodology.

Evaluation Process

The proposals will be evaluated by a selection committee. The top candidates may be invited for an oral presentation or demonstration. The final decision will be based on the proposal’s alignment with our requirements and the overall value provided.

Award Notification

The selected vendor will be notified by 9/14/2024. A formal contract will be issued following notification.
