Sherry Love

Sherry Love, Chief Clinical Officer, came to KVC at the beginning of a new era.  In 1997, the public-private partnership was just beginning between the state of Kansas and KVC, and Ms. Love was there to help with the adaptations serving as president of the Permanency Division.  A little more than a decade later, she is a member of KVC’s Executive Committee.  In her current role, she is responsible for ensuring continuity of clinical approaches across KVC’s service array.  This includes reviewing evidence-based practices and adopting innovative approaches that help KVC staff to more effectively and efficiently serve children and families.

Ms. Love has always had a passion for child welfare and mental health.  She is a veteran in the field, with more than 40 years of experience. After earning her master’s degree, Ms. Love worked for the state of Kansas for 10 years in protective services, intensive reintegration and family foster care.  She then began working at Temporary Lodging for Children in Olathe, Kansas, where she spent 18 years serving as the executive director and overseeing all of the organization’s day-to-day activities.

Ms. Love earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from the University of Kansas and has her licensure from the state of Kansas. She truly believes she is part of a mission that matters.
