Medication Management

When children and families use KVC’s school-based family services, they are able to access the medication management services of the program.             They are able to visit with a doctor at a district school or through telepsychiatry via a video/audio connection.

Medication management is provided by KVC staff psychiatrists. These medical professionals will conduct a diagnostic evaluation of the patient, develop a comprehensive treatment plan that includes a choice of medication, where appropriate, and offer the patient a clear explanation of any diagnosis and recommended treatment.

The KVC medical professional, the Family School Liaison (FSL) or school social worker, school staff members and parents are all involved in KVC medication management process. We rely on feedback and invite active participation from all parties to assure the highest quality of treatment possible.
