National Foster Care Month
May 1, 2025 - May 31, 2025

May is National Foster Care Month! Foster care is a safe place that gives a child and his or her birth family an opportunity to resolve conflicts or disruptions and learn healthy skills so the child can safely return home. Many birth families need help in learning effective parenting skills, overcoming substance use or learning healthy ways to cope with trauma they themselves have experienced. KVC offers foster care services in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and West Virginia.
