There are a multitude of ways to share content on the TV’s in your office.  This document is broken down into sections that will describe how to do each.

HDMI Sharing with a Webex Roomkit

1.   If there is not already an HDMI cable attached to your roomkit, please attach one to the following port.

2.   Connect the other end of the cable to your device.  The roomkit in most cases will automatically detect the new source and will begin displaying your devices screen on the TV in less than 10 seconds.    If the device content does not automatically display, continue to step #3.

 

3.   On the Webex touch panel, locate the share button and press it.

 

4.  Select the PC option, and your content will display on the TV.

 

 

 

Wireless Share to a Webex Roomkit

This document will show you how to wireless share content for a PC or Mac to a KVC WebEx room kit.  These instructions will also work for mobile devices and Chromebooks, but the audio streaming feature is only available on full desktop clients.

1.   WebEx Room Kit

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.  Open WebEx Teams (or WebEx) to the home page.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.  Click the room name at the bottom or “connect to a device” if a room isn’t automatically displayed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you had to click on Connect to a device, a 4 digit code will be displayed on the touch panel.  Please note, the room most likely didn’t automatically display because you had either your Microphone or Speakers muted, as your equipment and the WebEx Roomkit can automatically communicate using Ultrasonic sound waves.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4.    Once connected, you will be presented with the option to share your screen.

 

 

 

5.   Select the individual content or screen you wish to share, and if you plan to show a video or would like sound, make sure to tick the checkboxes at the top for Sharing Computer Audio and Optimize for Video

 

 

 

 

 

In a few seconds, you content will be displayed on the screen!

 

 

 

 

Direct HDMI sharing to the TV

This process varies significantly based on the model of TV you have, so it isn’t possible to provide a set of images to assist with how to perform the steps.

1. Locate the HDMI cable attached to your TV, or attach one to an appropriate open port
2. Connect the other end of the cable to your device
3. Select the source on the TV that matches the port you attached to
