Michelle Leone, MHA, BSN, RN
Michelle Leone serves as Senior Vice President for St. Louis Children’s and KVC Health Systems, where she leads the strategic development, financial performance and program oversight of the joint venture between St. Louis Children’s Hospital and KVC Health Systems focused on youth mental health care.
In this role, she provides executive leadership to advance service sustainability, strengthen operational excellence and cultivate a high-performing culture centered on leadership development and continuous improvement. She collaborates closely with Camber Mental Health, KVC Missouri, executive leadership and community partners to ensure alignment and achieve key performance outcomes.
Michelle brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience, with a career deeply rooted in serving disadvantaged populations, children and individuals with mental health needs. She began her journey in healthcare as a certified nursing assistant while attending nursing school and has since spent 19 years as a nurse, primarily in behavioral health settings. Her clinical background, combined with her executive leadership expertise, allows her to approach care delivery with both compassion and strategic insight.
She holds a Master of Health Administration from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Michelle is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is board-certified as a Nurse Executive (NE-BC).
