KVC Health Systems makes a positive difference in the lives of tens of thousands of people each year. By providing medical and behavioral healthcare, social services and education, we are enriching and enhancing the lives of children and families.
Our services include:
Each year, we recruit and train foster families to love and support more than 6,000 children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or other challenges.
KVC has helped match more than 3,000 children in U.S. foster care with forever families since 2005.
Research shows that therapy is most effective when provided in the home, which is where change must occur. KVC helps more than 20,000 children and families each year by providing support in homes.
We provide trauma-informed residential psychiatric treatment programs as well as acute hospitalization at our two children’s psychiatric hospitals. We also recently opened up psychiatric treatment to adults.
KVC’s board-certified psychiatrists and licensed therapists provide outpatient behavioral healthcare services.
We work on behalf of state child welfare agencies to provide case management and direct services to children and families.
Sharing best practices and models of success with other child welfare and behavioral healthcare organizations is part of our mission, both in the U.S. and internationally.
