2020 KVC Gala Goes Virtual and Raises Over $410k for Children and Families in Crisis

KVC 2020 Gala

Thanks to everyone who supported the 2020 KVC Gala and helped to raise over $410,000! We missed seeing you in person, but you still made a difference to children and families in need!

As with so many things in 2020, our annual Gala looked very different this year. We safely celebrated KVC’s 50 years of heart-centered service to children and families with a virtual event in lieu of our traditional in-person party. The evening kicked off with a Sip & See featuring live music from Lost Wax. Guests enjoyed video highlights of past KVC events and 70s nostalgia, along with shout-outs from KVC supporters like Bill Self and Nate Bukaty.

Attendees posted photos which were integrated into a live social wall throughout the evening. Many guests mixed up our custom event cocktail, the Funky Epiphany, created by Karen Watts Catering. The Gala program included incredible auction items donated by Michael Savage, Anne Wilson, Liz Croney and others. Key sponsors shared videos affirming their commitment to KVC’s mission, and the evening culminated with a powerful video from a family whose lives have been transformed with help from KVC. All proceeds from the night benefited the children and families we serve.

If you weren’t able to attend the 2020 Gala, you can watch a video of the event here and you can help KVC continue to provide vital support and services by making a donation.

We want to extend a very special and sincere thank you to Shelly and Evan Howe for chairing this year’s event and sharing about their special connection to KVC. Thanks also to Christa Dubill and Kevin Holmes for being our energetic emcees, and to our entire Gala Planning Committee for their endless ideas and enthusiasm. This event would not have been possible without the participation of all.

To our incredible sponsors and to everyone who donated, volunteered and supported this event in any way, we are so very grateful and inspired by you. KVC has provided life-changing services to children and families in need for fifty years now. We can’t continue – or expand – those services without your support.

The Khemraj Famiy

In addition, we’re deeply grateful to the courageous Khemraj family for sharing their inspiring story of resilience. We all need connection, and they are an inspiring example of the powerful transformation it can make in our lives and the lives of others.
