Thank you to everyone who supported KVC’s 2024 Night of Illusions Gala and the children and families served by KVC!

When the lives of children and families are turned upside down, KVC steps in. With compassion, innovation and expertise, KVC offers a lifeline to people in crisis. We provide services that support healing and allow families and individuals to thrive. On April 19th, over 400 donors and supporters came together at The Abbott to raise more than $360,000, supporting our work to promote mental wellness for children and adults in our community, provide foster care for families in crisis, strengthen families and so much more.

Thank you to our Gala Co-Chairs Kathy Woodward and Susannah Sotos, our Presenting Sponsor Brown & Brown, and our many generous corporate sponsors, supporters, committee members, partygoers, and volunteers for making this year’s Gala a huge success!

Our emcees Kaitlin Knute and Kevin Holmes– anchors at 41 KSHB Kansas City, shared an inspiring video about the need and impact of KVC’s services (check it out here!). Auctioneer Ron Stricker’s Auction Company led an exciting and record-breaking live auction. Guests bid on fabulous vacations, exclusive sports packages and more.

BeeJay from Fine Tooners Caricatures was sketching entertaining images all evening as guests goofed off for photos with Jazzy Kat Photo Booths. Contortionists and performers from Quizotic Imaginative Experiences provided mind-bending moves to keep partygoers entertained.

Randy Neal Floral Design complimented our theme with festive florals. REACTOR created our inventive pop-up invitations and AC Printing provided the gorgeous event signage. The amazing Karen Watts & Team and Plaza Catering yet again delivered mouth-watering catering for the crowd. Additionally, we want to extend a special thank you to Lori Holmes, Moto Mama’s Munchies for providing delicious and eye-popping desserts. After dancing the night away to live music from Lost Wax, the Fairway Creamery truck pulled up to provide post-Gala treats. Coffee and donuts were a huge hit! We’re so grateful to all of you for making this an incredible event. Your support will change lives.
