Adoption from Foster Care Celebrated on “A Home for the Holidays” Special on CBS

On Friday, December 18, CBS aired its 17th annual A Home for the Holidays special. Hip hop artist LL Cool J hosted the event which each year aims to inspire thousands of families to consider adopting a child or youth from foster care.

The special featured musical performances by Christina Aguilera, Jason Derulo, Rascal Flatts and Ed Sheeran.

For this first time ever, the show traveled across America to feature several families who recently adopted a child or youth from foster care. Viewers were introduced to the Mook family of Pittsburgh, PA; the Viles family of Seattle, WA; the Levy family of Canyon Country, CA; the Oden family of Los Angeles, CA; and the Alfonso-Montreal family of Long Beach, CA.
