In early 2016, Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson announced on Instagram that they were in the process of adopting a 13-year-old boy from foster care. The boy, whose name was not revealed, has lived with the Robertson family since May 2015.

We are excited to be in the process of adopting a new son! He’s been with us since May, but we wanted some privacy and time for him and our family to bond before telling the world (It’s a bit of an adjustment coming into this big, crazy family, ha)

The teen has already shared in some big family moments which include walking grandma down the aisle at his new brother’s wedding, and posing in the the family holiday card. In 2013, Willie spoke about adoption in InTouch Weekly: “There are plenty of kids who need homes. That’s why we’re all here. We have adopted children and we have natural children … and there’s no difference between them.”

Willie and Korie have three biological children and two previously adopted children. Rebecca (now 27) was an exchange student from Japan when the Robertsons began fostering her, and Willie Jr. (now 13) was adopted when he was a baby.
