KVC Health Systems President and CEO Jason Hooper has been named one of Glassdoor’s Best CEOs of 2026, ranking No. 38 among 50 CEOs nationwide.

The recognition is based entirely on anonymous ratings and reviews shared by employees on Glassdoor. Jason also currently holds a 99% CEO approval rating on Glassdoor.

Leadership Grounded in Listening and Connection 

Jason has spent more than 30 years at KVC, and his leadership story began close to the people we serve. He spent his first eight years providing direct services to children and families before moving into management and, eventually, senior leadership.

Today, Jason is only the second CEO in KVC’s 56-year history. His unique career path has given him a firsthand understanding of the work our teams do, the challenges they face and the difference strong leadership can make for both employees and families.

It has also shaped how he leads today. Jason values curiosity and learning from the people closest to the work. He believes good ideas can come from anywhere across KVC, and our leaders need to stay connected to what employees, children and families are experiencing.

Before becoming our President and CEO, Jason led Camber Mental Health, KVC’s inpatient mental health hospital network. His experience across direct care, operations and executive leadership continues to shape how he thinks about KVC’s future and how we can respond as the needs of children and families change.

At the heart of that work is a simple belief: we all need connection. As we work to reimagine health through connection, Jason continues to bring people, expertise and ideas together so we can better serve children, families and communities.

Building a Stronger Culture Together

Jason is quick to share the credit for this recognition. More than 2,800 KVC team members across five states bring our mission to life every day, and their experiences help shape how we grow.

We recently reached a record-high 60% employee engagement rate through Gallup’s employee engagement survey, nearly double the 31% national average. On Indeed, employees have also given KVC an 83 Work Wellbeing score, reflecting how they feel about their experience working at KVC. In 2025, KVC also ranked No. 15 nationally on Glassdoor’s Best-Led Companies list, another recognition based on employee ratings and reviews.
