As children, we learn that if you get a scrape on your leg, you put a band-aid on it to avoid infection. The importance of maintaining our physical health is learned early on, but what do we know about maintaining our psychological and emotional health?
Psychologist Guy Winch tell us that we sustain more psychological and emotional injuries than physical injuries throughout our lives, and just like a cut or scrape, they get worse if we ignore them. We need to close the gap between physical and psychological health and place an equal amount of importance on both of them.
