Kansas City Business Leaders Prepare for a Day on the Green at KVC’s 15th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

15th annual KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament in Kansas City

Since 2001, the KVC Health Systems’ Annual Kids Classic Charity Golf Tournament has been a catalyst for bringing together Kansas City business leaders for a fun day on the golf course while raising funds for children and families involved in the child welfare system. Among these beneficiaries are thousands of youth who have experienced abuse and neglect and are in caring KVC foster families.

15th annual KVC Kids Classic Golf TournamentThis year marks the 15th anniversary for the charity golf tournament which has always taken place at the typically members-only National Golf Club of Kansas City in Parkville, Mo. Susan and Scott Asner have been the title sponsors and tournament chairs since the tournament’s beginning, and they are thrilled that so many leading companies in the Kansas City area support KVC’s mission through this event. Corporate sponsors include Anthem Systems, Holmes Murphy, IMA, Netsmart, Bank of Blue Valley, Community America Credit Union, Enterprise, Garmin, JE Dunn, John A. Marshall Co., Lockton, Olathe Medical Center, Reliance Lab Solutions and Treat America. Full list of sponsors below.

Over 160 players will participate in the 15th Annual KVC Kids Classic Golf Tournament on Monday, August 22. Twenty four-person teams will play a morning flight beginning at 8:00 a.m. and 20 additional teams will play an afternoon flight at 1:00 p.m. Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, golf shirt, lunch, cocktails/appetizers, gifts and prizes. Sponsor signs and games will also be set up throughout the course to encourage golfers to support the businesses that have helped make the golf tournament happen and help golfers improve their scores.

Returning for the second year in a row will be professional golf entertainer Patrick J. Cocherl III, better known as “Paddy Whack.” Paddy is famous for his one-of-a-kind brand of trick shots, powerful long drives and imitations of Hollywood actors and characters. Each flight of golfers will see a brief Paddy Whack show and have a chance to get assistance from Paddy on the golf course.

Due to the overwhelming support from the Kansas City business community, sponsorships and individual and team registrations for this tournament are sold out! KVC Health Systems is looking forward to a great day on the course and raising much needed funds for children and families in need.
